WOULD IT BE FAIR TO SAY THAT FOSTERCLUB HAS CHANGED MY LIFE?
When I think back... I joined with my sister in April of 04... I'd just had a failed placement... One of my longest placements had become unsafe and I had to be moved. That home was really tough, but I'd grown to love them, they were as much my family as anyone else... and then they were gone. I was 17, leaving for college in a few months... Foster Care was catching up... I thought no one cared, I thought that I didn't stand a chance. And then, bam! FosterClub. I learned about Youth Boards and advocating... I talked to other foster kids who had succeeded. I discovered that the future was cloudy... but not scary. And then the AllStar program... I changed. And FosterClub helped me. I grew up... strong instead of weak, active instead of passive. FosterClub took me through the roughest period of my life... and I'm okay. So thanks FosterClub... it's been a blast!!
